How big are the guiding groups and what is the guide-to-guest ratio?
We maintain a maximum ratio of 1 guide for every 4 guests (1:4). We never operate more than 2 independent groups per trip, and each group runs completely autonomously with its own dedicated guides.
What level of skiing or snowboarding experience do I need?
Our trips are designed for advanced to expert skiers and snowboarders comfortable navigating ungroomed off-piste terrain, deep powder, tree runs, and variable snow conditions.
Is avalanche safety gear required, and do you provide it?
Yes. An avalanche transceiver, shovel, and probe are mandatory for all guests entering the backcountry or leaving resort boundaries. Rental options can be arranged upon request.
What certifications do your guides hold?
Our guides are certified in avalanche safety management by the American Avalanche Association (AAA) and hold advanced wilderness first-aid certifications.
How do you manage daily weather and avalanche risks?
We conduct daily safety briefings to evaluate snowpack stability, forecasts, and terrain hazards, adjusting itineraries to the safest and best available conditions.
How does the local cultural experience work during the trips?
Our itineraries include authentic local gastronomy, traditional Japanese onsens, Andean mountain-lodge culture, and local experiences beyond the commercial routes.
